June 23, 2018 - After about 18 hours of traveling we finally made it to Urbino wear we settled into our dorms. We started the program with a welcoming dinner at one of Urbino's traditional restaurant.

The food and wine was amazing! My first lesson was that olives are never pitted. Thankfully my teeth remained uncracked and my belly was satisfied.

Saturday morning consisted of a colorful adventure through Urbino’s weekly market. Undergarments hung on display as the smell of fresh fish filled the air and blocks of cheese and produce were for sale. Clothing, household essentials, and everything in between covered tables and sidewalks as visitors sifted and bartered for deals. Visitors like Chris and Mike were from England, and visited the market on vacation. The asthma-inducing walk up Urbino’s Via Rafaello was rewarded not only by the market but also the breath-taking views beyond the vendors. After the market we made our way to Sugarcafe, where owner Giovanni made our group "Cappuccino Specials".

After Sugarcafe our group was dismissed to explore. I ended up getting delicious a ham, cheese and arugula calzone for dinner.
